Benoit Marion began his football journey with the Cactus du Collège Notre-Dame in Montréal, then spent three years at Cégep André-Grasset, earning "best player on the defensive line" honors all three years and a spot on the All Star team in 2014.
Collegiately, Marion appeared in 25 games across four seasons (2016–19) with the Université de Montréal Carabins, recording 67 career tackles — including 20 tackles for a loss and 11 sacks. He earned RSEQ First Team All-Star recognition in 2018 and served as team captain, as part of one of the best defenses in U Sports history that year, allowing only 58 total points against all season.
The Montréal Alouettes drafted Marion in the third round, 25th overall, in the 2020 CFL Draft. He signed with the Toronto Argonauts in October 2021, playing 28 games from 2021–2024, recording seven defensive tackles, 12 special-teams tackles, one sack, and two forced fumbles. In 2022, he scored his first career touchdown on a blocked-kick recovery for a 24-yard return, and won a Grey Cup Championship. He went on to play for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2024, finishing with 29 total tackles, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and two sacks over 42 career regular-season CFL games.
Outside football, Marion practices hot yoga, played hockey at an elite level, and pursues learning through documentaries, podcasts, and reading. He joined DLPA with "a wealth of knowledge and a passion for the game of football and the teaching aspect," aiming to equip young players to excel defensively.
